Creating a Home-Like Atmosphere for Our Community

First Nebraska Credit Union was looking to expand geographic presence to better serve their members. They wanted a more modern look and feel while still having an inviting space where members could complete their transactions and learn about additional financial services. To meet this design goal, Alesia Architecture incorporated curved, clean lines, back-lit soffits, modern lighting fixtures, etched glass walls, a stone fireplace, and large-format tile flooring. The floor plan includes a community “lounge” featuring a home-like environment where members can relax, enjoy complimentary coffee, and visit with credit union staff. This is also a great place for children to play when members visit the branch.

This new location balances both the personal and digital aspects of financing today. Staff are available to help with more complex financial services, and the incorporation of an interactive teller machine makes self-service transactions seamless and timely. The space is designed to be open and welcoming yet incorporates private rooms for more sensitive meetings. The climate in each room can be individually programmed for member comfort.

Low-maintenance building materials were chosen for the exterior of the building, such as cement siding and brick as well as a metal drive-thru awning. The drive-thru awning was designed to capture attention and incorporates a large logo that reinforces the branding for First Nebraska Credit Union.
