Client-Focused Master Planning

In 2017, Alesia Architecture was selected to develop a 25-year master plan for this national, natural landmark and its adjacent properties. Fontenelle Forest is a 1,400 acre forest near Bellevue, Nebraska. The nonprofit organization includes Fontenelle Forest Nature Center and additional sites to include Neale Woods, Camp Brewster, Hitchcock Wetlands, Camp Logan and Camp Wakonda.

Alesia conducted studies of the Fontenelle Forest properties and presented the findings in charrettes with the nonprofit organization’s board and staff members. The 116-page master plan contains the foundation and rationale for the study, an inventory of the programs, buildings and trails, assessments and recommended improvements, and conceptual drawings along with a plan for moving forward. The master plan was unveiled in December 2017.
